Old Version History Of Firefox 37.0 (beta 6)
Hi all, Not sure where to ask about this. I've tried searching for answers on Mozilla's own site. There seem to be a few in FF36+ about monstrous memory leaks in the previous version, but they've apparently since been fixed. I've noticed no difference between builds 36 and 37.
My memory usage almost immediately nears a gig upon opening, and then over the course of my uptime steadily increases. Usually hangs out at 1.7GB for non-intensive browsing. I've seen it head upwards of 2.25GB though, and it really lags my whole system.
I've just downloaded and found that. I don't have a whole lot of addons, so I'm not sure what to do. Any ideas what's going on here? Any ideas for a fix, aside from moving back to Chrome? I have been experiencing this same exact problem with version 37.0.1 of Firefox, with both the 32-bit Windows and 64-bit Linux versions of the browser.

Going into about:memory and clicking measure, it seems the main culprit is from explicit - images. Disabling add-ons (particularly Text-to-Image and the userscript YouTube Link Title) postpones the memory leakage, but prolonged browsing will cause the memory leaks even on safe mode, so it is likely the browser itself's handling of images and not the extensions causing this. Using the same extensions on Pale Moon give me no such memory leaks.
