I’ve never played Grid 1, or the third one, Autosport, but I seriously think this beats both of them. One thing you have to get used to is learning how to drift. That’s the only way to get around corners without losing too much speed. It was difficult at first, but once you get used to it you can get good at it. No cockpit view, like others have said, but that doesn’t bother me really. One thing that happens on this App Store version is the “damaged downloadable content” bug. It actually doesn’t really mean your content is damaged, you just need to restart the game until it loads up normally again.

You don’t need to redownload the game again, this is just a bug I hope is fixed sometime. Getting this “reloaded edition” is nice since most of the cars and content is unlocked at the start. This is really one of the best apps on the App Store, and you should try to get it on sale like I did! 5 out of 5 stars!

I used to have this game on my old PS3, until I decided to sell it to get a PS4. So, I already knew I liked the game, but I was skeptical about how it would run on my base 2012 MacBook Air 13”. After I bought the game, I was shocked. It runs very smoothly! It isn’t too hard on the battery and it doesnt even get that hot! Not only that, but it fully supports my PS4 controller, so I can play the game on my Mac with my PS4 controller!!!

I can deal with the stupid sensless neon flashing lights that blind you for large periods of time. Even the dumn story line is tolerable. But Cockpit view is NOT an option? You can dumb down a good racing simulator and make it Arcade Style, and still leave SOME realism. The game has nowhere near the realistic driving experience of Grid1. Even with all Assists Off, it drives like you have traction control and stability control compared to Grid1.

But hood view is the worst. You cannot tell when you first start to slide, especially if you have a car with a solid color hood. Its almost impossible to notice subtle turns. You do not have the rising and lowering of camera from acceleration and braking that you do in Grid1. I’m using a wheel and pedals.
