PRINCE & LILY Reveal! Hollyoaks Boss on fun and shocking Christmas as evil Mac Nightingale returns fully to his murderous ways. Christmas is well and truly on the way and Hollyoaks Boss Bryan Kirkwood has revealed all on the fun and shocking Yuletide that lays ahead. Speaking to Digital Spy of the McQueen centric Winter Boss Bryan Kirkwood revealed: 'We're very excited about Christmas this year. It's been many years since we had such a brilliant line-up of McQueen women in the show.

For various off-screen reasons, we've rarely had Myra, Nana and Mercedes all together at the same time. Now with the brilliant additions of Cleo, Sally and Goldie to that line-up, this year is going to be a rocking big McQueen Christmas.

It'll focus on all factions of the family. Bryan said of a popular Couple: ' There's big shocks in store for Prince and Lily and some fantastic reveals. Mercedes throwing her first Christmas at The Dog In The Pond pub will definitely be a culinary disaster! There'll be loads of fun, laughs and shocks – it's going to be a riot.' The Festivities also mark a year since killer Cop DS Armstrong recieved his comeuppance and Baby Iona Campbell entered into the world. Some serious evil is also on the way as vengeful Abuser Mac Nightingale returns to his previous dastardly self.

Newly recovered from his Locked In Syndrome monster Mac is just warming up and soon the arch villain is back into full beast mode. With gasp-out-loud moments on the way it seems he has more than a few tricks up his sleeve to make everyone's life a living hell in a way only he knows how. Having survived a murder attempt by departed Teen Hunter McQueen Bryan said of his next moves: 'It was always the plan to bring Mac back – that's why we didn't kill him off last time. He's one of my favourite ever villains. Not many people can do dastardly behaviour quite as deliciously as David Easter and we love him.

When Mac called a dying Neeta a 'bitch' at her bedside, it was a gasp-out-loud moment. There's set to be many more of those moments with his return plot.

Mac is such a great baddie. There's a great relationship between Mac, Marnie and James.

His son Alfie is still his Achilles heel and Alfie remains the only character in the show who hasn't had the scales fall from his eyes when it comes to Mac. That's the heart of the story – Alfie's love for his dad when everyone else sees him for who he is. Mac's return has also helped us to introduce the Quinn family. The secret that Romeo is James's son is set to explode.

Donna-Marie is an absolutely chaotic mess and is played brilliantly by Lucy-Jo Hudson. Donna-Marie's daughter Juliet is also set to be a very exciting addition to the teen gang at Hollyoaks High.' What trouble will the McQueen Ladies get up to this coming Christmas?

Ellie pushed Mac from a window when he attacked James and he was left badly injured. Next week, as Marnie confides in Buster that Mac forced James to sleep with a prostitute when he was younger to try and turn him straight, James has further problems when Kyle Kelly starts documenting their relationship in a video diary to try and get revenge. As he is recording it, Nancy Osborne comes in and catches him in the act – but Kyle swears her to secrecy and later prepares a three course meal for James to try and rile him. As he spikes James’ wine with sleeping tablets, Kyle causes him to collapse – but what is he planning to do? After waking up in a confused state, James feels horrible and finds himself heading to the care home where he enters Mac’s room to confront him. But what is he looking for from Mac?

And could his state of mind see him do something destructive? One to watch: Thursday 10th May at 7pm on E4.
