New r5 driver

So many posts about 'OMG i9 is better than R7!' , well no shit Sherlock, HEDT CPU should beat a mainstream CPU or is shit. Before you ask 'why is i9 beating R7?'

Do some research. I9 is here to compete with Threadripper. I understand that Threadripper is not out yet and that's why they are being compared with R7. It is great to know where R7 stands, but its not something to start posting on reddit about 'OMG AMD is Shit again!' Also, have in mind that AMD compares CPUs with Price Range more than Cores/IPC/Frequency. For instance if a 10 Core Threadripper is released for $599 (pulling numbers out of my ass) it will not compete with the Core i9-7900X 10 core at $999, it will compete with the Core i7 7820X 8 core priced at $599.

Current reviews are comparing the Core i9-7900X 10 Core ($999) with the R7 1800X ($450/$499), but if they compare it with an R7 1700/X, which can OC almost to the same as the 1800X, then the price/performance will be look better for AMD. Where would we be if Ryzen would've never been created? Intel would be showing i9 in 2020, probably.

What was the price for the previous Intel 6/8/10 core Intels again? ($450+/$1000+/$1800+), they now have some discounts, again, because of Ryzen.

Intel just took a shit on all the i7 7700k buyers with the Core i7-7800X 6 core ($389). AMD forcing Intel's hand to get competitive in pricing and to bring forward tech they had for some time, not released all for the sake of earnings. (No hate about that, it was the 'right' move as a company to make money). Different manufacturing processes allowed previous AMD processors to overclock to 4.5+, as Ryzen matures, we will see the real AMD comeback. Zen+ 32 core Threadripper for existing x399 motherboards anyone? With the socket AMD is using for Threadripper, which is the Epyc socket, this is could be possible. Yea, of course the 10c/20t should beat the 8c/16t especially with a clockspeed advantage.

These benchmarks are pretty useless considering the prices for these components. I built an entire Ryzen rig for less than the cost of the 7900x. Sure they are meant for different uses.

A better comparison would be the 1700 vs the 7820x. Both 8c/16t with the Intel one costing twice as much. For now, there is nothing to compare the 7900x to. Lets just wait for Threadripper and see how it compares to them. I'll just continue to be happy with my R7 and what I paid for it.

EDIT: Also no one seems to care about these ridiculous temps and high power draws. Would be quite the story if the shoe was on the other foot. It can and is taken into account. The fact is that whatever AMD does worse, it's the central and most important feature on a system. AMD's GPUs are shit, the rx-580 consumes the same as the 1070 but performs only over 1060 6gb Performance? R7-1800X cannot compete with the i9-7900X. The i9 is a far superior CPU playing games while streaming two videos.

Performance playing games? R7 1800X is worse than the i7 7700k because the latter gets 10% more FPS in not optimized games. There you have three different product battles, all of them released last year, where the most important detail is always whatever AMD does worse.

That's the fucking narrative since a year ago, and whenever someone has some memory and says 'stop there, yesterday you where blaming AMD on power draw, but now that Intel draws more is it good?' , he/she is part of a circlejerk and a delusional AMD fanboy.
